Vegan  Apple Turnovers

Everyone will love these easy vegan turnovers for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet snack!

Ingredients

Preheat the oven and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Peel and cut the apples into bite-sized pieces.

Melt the vegan butter in a pot. Add the apples, brown sugar, cornstarch, vanilla, cinnamon, lemon juice, and salt.

Stir regularly for 7-8 minutes or until the apples have softened.

Roll the puff pastry into a large square. Slice it into 4 smaller squares.

Place ⅓ cup of the apple filling in the center of each pastry square. Brush the edges with plant milk.

Fold the dough over and press the edges down. Use the tines of a fork to further seal the edges.

Place the turnovers on the baking sheet. Cut slits into each one and brush the tops with plant milk.

Bake them for 20 to 25 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

Prepare the icing by mixing the powdered sugar and plant milk. Stir until the icing is smooth.

Drizzle the glaze over the turnovers and enjoy!
