Vegan  Apple Turnovers

These tasty vegan apple turnovers are ready in a flash and are a great way to use up those apples!

Ingredients

Peel and cut the apples into bite-sized pieces.

Melt the vegan butter. Add the apples, brown sugar, cornstarch, vanilla, cinnamon, lemon juice, and salt.

Let them cook for 7-8 minutes or until the apples have softened.

Roll the puff pastry out into a large square. Slice it into 4 smaller squares.

Add ⅓ cup of the apple filling to the center of each pastry square. Brush the edges with plant milk.

Fold the dough over and press the edges down. Use the tines of a fork to seal them.

Place the turnovers on the baking sheet. Cut slits into each one and brush them with plant milk.

Bake them for 20 to 25 minutes or until they are golden brown.

Make the icing by mixing the powdered sugar and plant milk. Stir until the icing is smooth.

Drizzle the glaze over the turnovers and enjoy!
