Vegan  Apple Turnovers

Crunchy, flaky puff pastry is filled with a warm cinnamon-sugar apple filling. This vegan apple turnover recipe is so easy and will satisfy any sweet tooth!

These apple turnovers are ready in a flash and are a great way to kick off the season!

Peel two apples. Remove their cores and cut them into cubes.

Add butter, apples, brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and lemon juice to the pot.

Stir frequently for 5-7 minutes, or until the apples are softened. Let apples cool in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

Brush the inner edges of the pastry squares with plant milk, then place 2-3 tablespoons of apple filling into the centers. Seal the edges.

Make the Icing Add the powdered sugar, vanilla, and 1.5 tablespoons of plant milk to a small bowl. Stir until the icing is lump-free.

Bake for 18-24 minutes at 400°F or until golden brown. Let the turnovers cool for a few minutes before drizzling icing over them.
