Vegan Kolaches

These delicious vegan sausage kolaches have pillowy soft dough filled with plant based sausage, melted cheddar, and spicy jalapeños. 

Ingredients

Melt the vegan butter and dice the jalapeños. Cook the vegan breakfast sausage according to the package instructions. 

Combine half of the flour with the cane sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Heat the plant milk in the microwave or on the stovetop until it reaches 120°F.

Pour the heated milk and melted butter into the flour mixture and gently stir them together. Add in the rest of the flour. 

Knead the dough until it’s smooth and stretchy. Roll it into a ball. Cover it and place it in a warm corner to rest for 10 minutes.

Divide the dough into 8 sections. Roll each one into an oval. 

Add the vegan sausage, cheddar, and jalapeños. 

Roll the dough around the filling and seal the seams.

Cover the kolaches with a towel and place them in a warm corner for 30 minutes so they can rise.

Bake them for 15 minutes or until they are golden brown.
