Vegan Apple Galette

This vegan apple galette has a crumbly, buttery crust with a soft fruit filling, all topped with an irresistible streusel topping!

Ingredients

Combine the flour, salt, and sugar. Use a fork or pastry cutter to cut the cold butter into the dry ingredients until it has formed a grainy texture.

Stir in the cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time. When the dough begins to clump together, transfer it to a lightly floured surface.

Knead the dough for 3 minutes. Place the ball of dough in a bowl, cover it, and put it in the refrigerator.

Mix the flour, brown sugar, cane sugar, and cinnamon. Cut the cold butter in until it’s crumbly. Place the bowl in the refrigerator.

Preheat the oven. Mix the brown sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Peel and slice the apples. Add them to the bowl and toss them until they're fully coated.

Roll the dough out on parchment paper.

Add the apple slices to the center. Fold and pinch the edge of the dough over to cover the edge of the apple slices.

Move the galette to a medium-sized baking sheet. Sprinkle the crumble topping over the entire galette, including the crust.

Bake the galette for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
