Lemon Herb Tahini

This naturally vegan Lemon Herb Tahini is creamy, nutty, a little tangy, and irresistible! It can be used as a sauce or dressing on a wide variety of dishes and is such a breeze to make!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup tahini sauce
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, packed
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, packed
  • 2-3 tbsp warm water
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  • Add the parsley and cilantro leaves to a food processor or high-speed blender. Top them will all of the other ingredients.
  • Pulse the blender or processor until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  • Taste it to see if you'd like to add more seasoning and check the consistency to see if you'd like to make it thinner with a little more water.

Notes

  • You can mix it manually by finely chopping the herbs and whisking everything together by hand if a food processor isn't available.
  • It will thicken as it sits. 
  • Store it in a sealed container for 5 days in the refrigerator.
